Thermafin's selective coating Crystal Clear, introduced in 2001, is designed to enhance solar thermal absorption capacity for collectors. The Crystal Clear coating process requires substantially less energy than the galvanic production process of black chrome and generates almost no harmful waste products. Due to it's sealed, glaze-like permanent layer, the Crystal Clear allows comfortable handling and the possibility to use the coated plate without a protective glass cover. It also offers substantially improved thermal stability in line with higher temperature needs for power generation. Thermafin manufactures and sells Crystal Clear coated absorber plates, fin tubes and copper coils worldwide to both customers and producers of collectors.
